Course Aim

The QUEST College Certificate II in Horticulture Course is recognised within the industry for providing a hands-on practical learning environment that prepares students with industry expertise and knowledge valued by employers. This course is for individuals who like to get their hands dirty and work outdoors. Through this course, students obtain the skills and knowledge necessary to gain employment or grow a career in the Horticulture Industry.   

This course can prepare you for a position as a Grounds-Person, Retail Nursery Hand, Gardener, Landscape Labourer and a range of other jobs necessary within plant and landscape environments.  

With the qualifications and ZEST, you gain through QUEST; you will have the edge to get the job you want. You will be trained to work effectively in a variety of roles within the Horticulture Industry. At QUEST, we want to help you become a part of this growing industry and plant the seeds of knowledge that can to bring your horticulture career into full bloom.

Eligibility Criteria

This is a Certificate 3 Guarantee programme and is funded by the Department of Education and Training (DET). 

To be eligible for this course you must be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident, currently residing in Queensland, 15 years of age or older, no longer in school (with the exception of VET in school students) and have not completed/not currently enrolled in a post school Certificate III level qualification (prospective students are only eligible for one subsidised training place for a Certificate III level qualification).
