About Quest

Our Mission is to EMPOWER PEOPLE, CHANGE LIVES, and GIVE BACK to our community by creating vocational and employment pathways through education, innovation, and learning.

We honour our mission and values as we focus on PEOPLE, not numbers.  At Quest College we don’t just sign people up - we screen our students carefully. It is important to us that we enrol the appropriate students after providing realistic and practical information. We want our students to succeed, obtain a job they are passionate about and be rewarded in the workplace. In other words, we want them to achieve a lifetime outcome.

Quest College was established on the Sunshine Coast in 1999 by Founder, Helyna Burton whose personal quest was to improve the lives of the less fortunate through education and learning. In pursuit of this mission, Helyna never allowed adversity and challenges to stand in the way of her belief that one day Quest College would be a leading provider of life-changing opportunities by providing training and education as pathways to a better life.

Our mission is built upon the same commitment today, - to give back to the community and positively change the lives of others through education, innovation and learning. This people-first approach has seen our organisation go from strong to even stronger. Quest College has become a key player in the Vocational, Education and Training sectors and is respected for its active involvement in the community, its partnership approach and its high quality and effective delivery of training and assessment services that prepare students for employment in a range of industries.

Our Approach is Personal

Quest College delivers training based on the following principle: “Give them what they want and teach them what they need”. We understand that there is more to education than facts and figures. That’s why we work hard to provide you with life and industry skills that will help you reach your potential, and increase your employability.

Watch the following video about our educational approach.

We understand that students who are prepared for the right future employment opportunity need to strengthen and refine their motivation, confidence, self-esteem, and basic life skills.

PEOPLE are our business and we want our dynamic and personal approach to training and mentoring to reflect that. We take pride in delivering training to a broad range of students with varying backgrounds and learning styles, including young people, mature-age students, people with disabilities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Our credible trainers, mentors, and assessors are industry qualified and bring vocational competence with current experience to achieve your educational, employment, and life goals.

Guiding Principles
The 10 Golden Apples

We are family.  We look after one another and make sure that “love” is at the core of what we do – love for fellow staff, love for our students, love of education and love of life and its opportunities. We strive to create a holistic life change within our students, not just help them change one situation/aspect of their lives.

“I am having a great time in my course and am enjoying learning and finding out about everyone’s mobs and participating in fun activities to celebrate our Indigenous Heritage. I am excited to finish my course and to start working at the hospital one day.”
